    Women-Owned Businesses We Love

In honor of International Women’s Day — we celebrate a handful of our favorites in Boston (and a little beyond).

      Prep Less

Not Just Co., a clean-ingredient food brand based in Boston, was founded in 2018 to help busy home cooks get a head-start on dinner. Plant-based, gluten-free, and nut-free — Not Just Co.’s product line offers whole-food versions of modern pantry staples and flat out tastes great. To find out what makes them different, follow @notjustco.

      Make an Impression

La Bonne Maison in Newton, offers full-service event catering as well as delivered meals. They can custom-design any event — from an intimate black tie wedding at a private estate to a company party at a fun downtown venue. LBM creates each menu from scratch, prioritizes local and seasonal ingredients, and makes a mean cocktail too! See more @labonnemaison.

      Eat Cake

Flour Bakery and Cafe offers buttery breakfast pastries, delicious cookies, gorgeous cakes, and made-to-order sandwiches, soups, and salads — all served up with a passion to make life a little sweeter for everyone that steps through their doors. And Flour’s great food = good works, as a portion of all revenue goes to causes chosen by team members.

      Take Care

Founded in 2013 by two sisters right here in Boston, Brown and Coconut offers holistic skin care products with a unique blend of ingredients that heal and protect. While kind to your skin, Brown and Coconut is equally kind to the earth — using glass bottles (that can be reused and recycled) and recyclable shipping materials. Follow @brownandcoconut.

      Keep Truckin’

Bon Me got its start in 2010 after entering a food truck contest for fun. Following the purchase of a used DHL truck (from a guy named Big Jim), they took their Asian-inspired eats to the streets of Boston. Today, Bon Me (a name that plays off their delicious take on the Vietnamese banh mi sandwich) has 7 locations, a test kitchen, and yes, food trucks. Follow @bonme.

      Jump Around

Barre Groove isn’t your typical workout. It combines strength training, cardio, dance, and trampolines (yes, trampolines!) to really pump up the fun and tamp down the impact on knee and ankle joints. Both downtown locations are easily accessible and less than a quarter mile from a T stop. To see what Barre Groove is all about, check them out @barregroove.
